What is Victorian Teachers' Games?: The Victorian Teachers’ Games (VTG) is an annual Sporting and Social event that is held in the first week of the September school holidays. Participants have the opportunity to compete in over 40 sporting and social activities. There are events for both individuals and teams. Competitors may choose to compete in a team from their school, or a team of friends. The staff at VTG make joining a team easy, so whether you are looking to join a team, or need someone to join your team we can help.

Who is eligible to attend?: Education professionals. It is open to current employees of the Department (including corporate staff), staff from Victorian Catholic and independent schools, participants holding a Victorian Institute of Teaching qualification plus participants nominated by major sponsors. Anyone employed in a school is eligible. This includes canteen staff, teachers’ aides, and cleaning staff.

How much does it cost?: Your registration fee is $35, excluding individual sport/event fees. You then pay per sport or event you wish to be a part of, varying between $10-$50.

Why VTG?: Sport. Social. Professional Development. Team Bonding. Time out of the office. A regional getaway. A brilliant way to start your Term three Holidays.
